Can you live in a house and have renovations ongoing? It depends on the length of the construction. If the renovation takes less than two months, then you can live in your house while it is being built. You can't live there if your renovation project takes more than two months.

Because of the possibility of falling objects, you shouldn't live in your home while a major construction project is underway. You could also suffer from noise pollution and dust caused by the heavy machinery used on the job site.

How To

Do you prefer renovating exterior or interior?

Which one should I do first?

There are many factors that you should consider when choosing the right project. The most common factor is whether the building is old or new. The condition of the roof, windows and doors, flooring, wiring, and other aspects are all important. When the building is new, there are many things to consider such as its location, size, number, style, and so forth.

The roof should be the first thing you look at if the building's age is a concern. You might consider starting the renovation immediately if the roof appears to be in danger. You can proceed to the next step if the roof is in good condition. Next, look at the windows. If the windows are dirty or broken, you may need them to be replaced. After that, you can go through all the doors to make sure they are clear of any debris. Then, if everything seems okay, you can begin working on the floors. You should ensure that the flooring does not crack or become unstable no matter how many times you walk on them. Once these steps are done, then you can move on to the walls. You can now examine the walls to check for cracks or damage. If the wall appears to be in good shape, you can continue to the next steps. Finally, once the walls are inspected, you can work on the ceiling. Make sure the ceiling is sturdy enough to withstand whatever weight you place on it. Once everything is in order, you can proceed with your renovation.

If the building was newly built, you'd probably start with its exterior. First, examine the outside of the house. Is it well maintained? Are there cracks around? Does the exterior look great? If the exterior doesn't look great, then you should definitely fix it. It is not a good idea to make your home look unattractive. Next, examine the foundation. Repairing the foundation is a good idea if it appears weak. Also, make sure to inspect the driveway. You want it to be smooth and flat. If it isn’t then it is time to repair it. When checking the driveway, also check the sidewalk. If the sidewalk is uneven, it should be replaced.

Once you have completed these inspections, you can now move on inside the house. Begin by inspecting the kitchen. Is the kitchen clean and well maintained? If it is messy, then you should probably clean it up. Next, check the appliances. These appliances should be in top shape and functioning properly. If they're not, you can either replace them or repair them. You can then inspect the cabinets. You can paint them if the cabinets are stained or damaged. You can then move on to the bathroom if they are in good condition. The toilet should be inspected here. If it leaks then it's time to replace it. You can wash it if it is just dirty. Next, examine all the fixtures. Make sure they are clean. If they are dirty, then you should definitely clean them. Finally, you should inspect the countertops. They should be repainted if they are chipped or cracked. Sealant should be used if the surfaces are smooth and shiny.

The final step is to inspect the furniture. You should make sure nothing is broken or missing. If it's missing or damaged, you need to find it. If something is broken, then you should probably repair it. Once you have checked everything, you can return outside to complete the job.
